I finally got around to installing the Andream MMI system in my BMW yesterday. The product arrived faster than expected and was pretty straight forward to install. I watched a few YouTube videos and was good to go. The hardest part was fitting the cables behind the factory system. The setup is great and works really well. I am using the factory bluetooth for calls though as the quality is a little better. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase, install and operation.
Good price and a shipment in 5 days are absolut perfect. For installation process i need a little help from your support => perfect answers in minutes... after that 30 minutes for installation in my z4 e89 !
Works without any lag perfectly now...
A Little bit confused about the cable from my CIC Headunit, but thats my problem :-)
Next product to buy => ANDREAM
And special greetings to the guy WANG !...very friendly supporter !
The installation was a bit complicated because I was doing this for the first time, but everything went well. The device is great and significantly enhances the car.
2012 BMW 328i. Works great. The Android is wireless! My son uses Apple carplay and that works great too. Added the camera with no problems
Install was a little difficult at first messaged seller and responded fast and it was up and running
Steering wheel control works , I can skip songs , Carplay autostart , rear view camera is good , no issues with wireless carplay , active steering wheel control , everything works fine , camera fits perfectly , no aux cable needed for sound , BMW E92 CCC
To start, pleased with initial communication to confirm I order the correct interface. Next, product was shipped all the way from China to my doorstep in 7 days! Easy install and every feature works as should!!! Great product, Great company!!
Great upgrade. Plugged & play for my 2013 X6M. It took me an hour. I highly recommend this product.
BMW 335D 2007. E92
Works like a charm. But to install it is not something you just do. There is no room behind te CCC unit for the adapter wiring loom. Had to remove ventilation tubing just to stow the adapter away otherwise te CCC unit wil stick out 4mm. Also the fit of the display unit has 3 mm short in room at the back because of the the LCVD wire. This is not a problem for the CIC, but only for the CCC. After the mods it just fitted. But the result is beautiful.
3-4 hours installation process with zero DIY experience. In BMW X3 F25 there is not much space, so the best place for the unit was behind the screen, so far I have tested wired connection and it works properly(only with original phone cable if you try with some cheep knockoff it starts charging, but android auto don't start). Seller was very responsive and helpful, delivery was around 2+ weeks, because of holiday season and COVID-19. Overall great product for the money would recommend.
Had one for my e60 m5 so I had to get one for my f30 328i. Works flawlessly. Only downfall is that you need an aux for audio and that it doesn’t really explain what some of the cables are. Other than that this product is awesome. Needed this because the 6 in factory screen is garbazo
This is a must have for your E70 X5. The screen looks so much nicer than the stock unit, and having Android auto really makes the car feel new again. I 100% recommend this to anyone. Even if all you want to do is just upgrade the stock screen it's completely worth it.
Overall, very satisfied with this unit. Steven H already covered everything.
1. Addition to his thorough review, I will add that the unit doesn't fit the hump perfectly and there is a little gap between the dash and the unit. The plastic around that area is much harder on the OEM unit and is formed better.
2. Also, for an e90/e92, the quadlock connector is too big for the space behind the head unit. You have to squeeze it off to the side behind the footwell cover area and there is only one angle where the connector would fit through that space. It would have been easier if the cable/harness was a little longer.
3. As everyone else has already mentioned, the package doesn't come with instructions. There's a little post card you scan and it goes to their website. When you're at the website, pay attention to the FAQ section, the answers are in there but I didn't like the fact I had to go on a hunting expedition to find simple answers that should have been printed for easy reference.
4. The most irritating thing as Steven H mentioned is that when you switch to the factory screen, the audio stops. I also went with the backup camera and the audio also abruptly cuts out while in reverse. It takes away from the OEM feel.
I've been running the unit for 2 days and it has transformed my old CCC equipped M3. The wireless CarPlay connects consistently and quickly. The audio quality is good, no complaints there but I wouldn't consider myself an audiophile. I care more about the sounds of the high rev'ing V8 which is why I went with the base HiFi instead of EPS when I ordered the car almost 13 years ago. I would recommend this unit for anyone looking to add CarPlay to their CCC.
Everything that people has said and are saying about this product is one hundred percent true. This unit is bomb. Prior to upgrading, I had the ccc system that was absolutely serving no purpose whatsoever being that the system was out of date and bmw stopped updating the maps for ccc. I had no navigation and basically I was staring at a screen that had no functionality or did anything besides show menus options. Now everything that I didn’t have is all available now thanks to the head unit. Car play works smoothly both wireless and wired ( when plugged into the provided usb. ) and all the functions are still there of the old ccc system. The only downfall is that it didn’t come with instructions on how to install it, however there’s tons of tutorials online that are there to help you. Also dude is great at responding to any questions or issues you run into so that’s a plus as well. Thanks!
Has anyone had any issues with Automatic Day/Night working?. mine just stays in Day mode all the time. ive looked in developer settings, set it to "phone controlled" still stays in Day at Night time.
